Meet Petals! Petals is a Peking duck. She has leg issues as most do. These ducks are bred not for pets, but for fast growth to be slaughtered for someone's meal. Fortunately for Petals that was never in her future. Petals is a little overweight with some leg issues. She has Ascites (water belly) in which there is no treatment. We were told she also has chronic Bumblefoot (A bacterial infection and inflammatory reaction that occurs on the feet of poultry and waterfowl)

Right now, she has no issues with bumblefoot and is getting around fine. A little slower than the rest, but that's ok.
