Val
Val, short for Valentino, and his sister were born on Valentine's Day in 2019. While his sister quickly began nursing, Val was lethargic and neglected by their mother. He was notably small and unable to lift his head. After several hours without nursing, the owners stepped in to warm him, feed him with a bottle, and attempt to help him stand, but his efforts were unsuccessful. Upon examination, they discovered Val's significantly deformed back hooves. At less than a day old, we were informed about his condition, and he was promptly brought to our care.
X-rays confirmed bone deformities in both of Val's hind legs, along with unusually small and awkwardly positioned tiny hooves.
Initially, Val was fitted with prostheses for his hind legs, which suited him well. However, as he grew, his deformed hooves also developed, growing into awkward positions that, under his weight, pressed uncomfortably against his skin, making it difficult to wear the prostheses despite regular trimming of the hoof pieces.
Unaware of his differences, Val remains a joyful lap goat. He relishes his time outdoors with his fellow disabled siblings. Although he is able to move, he prefers to rest on a cushioned pad.

Val's birthday is February 14, 2019
