Rocky
Rocky,is a beautiful Silky Fainting Goat, he joined us in 2019 from Tennessee. His entry into the world was fraught with challenges; he was lodged in the birth canal for an extended period and ultimately had to be extracted by his jaw and leg, which were the only accessible parts. This extraction resulted in a dislocated leg, which has been properly set since. Additionally, Rocky has a mild neurological condition known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia, though it's unclear whether this was a consequence of his traumatic birth or a congenital defect. This condition has impaired the part of his brain responsible for activity and coordination, rendering him unable to walk or stand independently due to severe imbalance and lack of coordination. We have dedicated ourselves to daily physical therapy sessions to assist him in finding his center of balance, nurturing hope that his youth would enable him to eventually stand on his own. Despite these efforts, he has not reached that milestone. Fortunately, Rocky has a wheelchair that provides him with mobility. Although there's no cure for Cerebellar Hypoplasia, we continue to surround him with all the necessary love and care.
Rocky's birthday is August 31, 2019.
