Meet Ripley!

 

He arrived at just two weeks old when his previous caretakers realized he required more assistance than they could provide. Born to a mother who rejected him, it was quickly discovered that he had deformed front legs. His tiny ankles curled under and turned inward, causing him to walk on his knuckles.

 

Although he was able to walk and move about, immediate medical attention was necessary to prevent his condition from worsening—potentially leading to his bones fusing in that position and leaving him permanently disabled.

 

Once in our care, Ripley was taken to UGA for an evaluation. Splints have been applied, and we are hopeful that his little legs will straighten out.
