Peach
Introducing Peach, who, along with her herd mates, endured a terrible ordeal. They were attacked by dogs in the early morning hours. The commotion awoke her owners, who rushed out to discover the chaos unfolding. Two dogs fled the scene after having terrorized the young animals. Some had already perished, others were in shock, and many sustained numerous injuries. Peach was not found until the following morning when her owners went out to process the event. She was discovered far down the field, presumed dead until her ear twitched. They swept her up and rushed her back to the barn, she was in shock and unable to move her hind legs. Their vet provided treatment and hoped for the best, unfortunately her brother succumbed to shock.
The next day, we were informed about Peach and the incident and agreed to take her in. Uncertain of what her recovery would entail, we aimed to ensure her comfort.
She survived the night, and we arranged a veterinary visit for x-rays the following day. There were no fractures in her spine, but spinal damage was evident. She also had bite wounds on both sides of her body, with one side beginning to abscess. Due to the trauma, she became incontinent, requiring constant care to stay dry and prevent urine scald. Peach has now fully recovered, yet she cannot use her hind legs and has become completely mobile with the aid of a wheelchair. H er best friend is Clover
