Lucy' Story

Introducing Lucy, a small pig abandoned in the woods inside a crate, accompanied by a bag of food and a blanket. The crate's door was left open, a small mercy from those who left her there.
A kind man, while gathering wood in the early morning, discovered her. Lucy was nestled in the leaves near her crate, shivering under a layer of frost as temperatures had plummeted to the teens. Initially, he mistook her for deceased until a soft grunt corrected his assumption.
He immediately lifted her and took her to his residence. There, he and his wife tenderly warmed Lucy, arranged a cozy corner in their garage, fed her, provided a warm bowl of water, and ensured her comfort to the best of their ability.
Despite their efforts, they found no assistance, encountering only facilities that were either at capacity or shuttered due to Covid.

Lucy's birthday is August 19, 2020
