Leigha

Leigha arrived at Bella View in 2020, born with a significant deformity in her hind legs, diagnosed as severe valgus and flexural deformity. Unfortunately, surgery was not an option for her. Her legs are severely crisscrossed, rendering them unusable. A compassionate family chose to care for her instead of following the advice to euthanize. Leigha thrived and was content, yet the family recognized that her needs exceeded their capacity. After seven months, they came to the difficult realization that she required a specialized environment where she could be among other goats with similar disabilities and receive the extensive, lifelong care necessary.
Unaware of her differences, Leigha behaves just like any other goat. She has a cart for mobility but often prefers to relax alongside her fellow disabled companions.

Leigha's birthday is February 11, 2020
