Little Greta, a Nigerian Dwarf goat, and her brother had a rough start to life, coming from a place that wasn't kind to them. Greta struggled to stand and was plagued with numerous health issues. She would often collapse and lose consciousness due to her low energy levels. Tragically, her brother did not survive. For several months, her rescuer diligently cared for her, seeking opinions from various veterinarians, but no diagnosis was forthcoming. After several close calls, Florida State University finally identified a stage 5 heart murmur as the cause of her troubles. Faced with Greta's special needs and living in an apartment, her caregiver made the tough decision to find her a home that could offer a proper "goat life." That's how she came to us. Despite her size​ and condition, Greta is a dynamo, undeterred by her condition, and she cherishes her new goat family. She lives life to the fullest.
