Introducing Georgie, whose entry into the world was marked by challenges. His mother required assistance during his birth, and upon arrival, it was evident that his front legs were not functioning properly, preventing him from standing to nurse. Despite efforts to help him latch on, he was unable to do so. Due to the cold, he was brought indoors, and his mother was milked to ensure he received the vital antibodies from her colostrum. Georgie spent the initial weeks of his life nestled in a laundry basket. Attempts were made to correct his legs with splints, but with limited success. Recognizing his need for specialized care, his family contacted us for help. In 2022, after a heartfelt journey from Texas to Atlanta, we welcomed two-week-old Georgie, bringing this precious little one into our care.
