Four years ago, we welcomed three hens into our care when their previous owner had to move unexpectedly. Raven, a black Easter Egger, is the eldest at 12 years old. Raven happens to be our oldest chicken resident too! Her companions, Theo, another Easter Egger with gray plumage, and George, a Polish hen, are both 8 years old. Yes, they are all hens with boy names.
